The Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir Experience
Overview
For over 25 years, the internationally-acclaimed Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir (PEBCC) has been offering training, performing and touring opportunities to children from throughout the San Francisco East Bay. Founded in 1982, PEBCC today enrolls over 300 children, ages 4-18, drawn from 72 local schools and 17 area communities, including Piedmont, Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, Orinda, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Albany, El Cerrito, and many others.
The Choir is comprised of 13 choir groups, including boys, girls, and mixed choirs, ranging in age from 4-18. Each choir offers a dynamic education in music, along with lessons in creativity, expression, poise and engagement with many cultures, a process we describe as “Growing With Music.”
