Joyful Voices Gala and Auction

The Board of Directors of the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir hosted a triumphant 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Oakland's beautiful Rotunda Building. The Joyful Voices Gala was a grand success, raising over $100,000 for scholarships and operations of the award-winning after school music programs that enrich the lives of children.

The evening began with an open champagne, wine and cocktail bar reception presenting the Choir's special "Signature Cocktail" while the choir community of supporters, parents, musicians, and alumni mixed and mingled, bidding on silent auction items and catching up with old friends. The cocktail reception was followed by dinner, catered by La Bonne Cuisine, and top-shelf live entertainment provided by alumni of the Choir featuring local favorites Matthew Cannon, Lauren Eigenbrode, Clifton Massey, Nikolas Nackley and Kate Offer.

Live Auction items included a Ski Getaway near Donner Lake, a Seven-Day Caribbean or Mexico Cruise with Holland America, tickets to One Direction, the very hot English/Irish Boy Band, a week stay at a private apartment in Tokyo, and culinary ecstasy for two at the French Laundry among other great items. The "Black Tie Admired but not Required" Gala was co-chaired by Alene Kemper and Terry Amgott-Kwan. Committee members were Francis Combes, Lisa D'Annunzio and Susan Malick.

In-Kind Donations were made by the following supporters.
