Marion Atherton, Executive Director
Marion Atherton joined the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir staff in February 2009. Previously, as Director of the Crowden Center for Music in the Community, Marion expanded on-site program offerings, formed partnerships with schools and other community arts organizations, and launched Very First Concerts, a concert series to introduce young children to the instruments of the orchestra. Her past work experience also includes positions at the Berkeley Youth Orchestra, Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and U.C. Berkeley, plus a number of years in the technology sector. Marion holds a B.A. in Music from Yale University and a M.A. in Music Education from Columbia University Teachers College. She lives in Berkeley with her husband, a choral director, and their two children.
TJ Togasaki, Program Manager
TJ Togasaki is a Choir alumna who was a founding member of Ancora and served as Ensemble President. She rejoined the choir as a staff member in 2002 and when not sending emails and organizing concerts, enjoys leading tours with Concert Choir. Each summer she happily retreats to the hills and serves as Administrator for the Choir Camp. TJ attended Pomona College where she received a B.A. in English Literature. Her love of new music, originating from her eleven years with the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir, is amply fed by singing with Volti, a professional chamber choir.
Judi Fabrizio, Member Support
Judi Fabrizio joined the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir’s staff in September 1999. A graduate of Cal Poly in Home Economics and Music, Judi taught high school Home Economics, catered, and worked at Montclair Florist. Her son, Michael, plays trumpet. Her daughter Julie, who graduated from PEBCC in 2002 after nine years, recently graduated from the University of Oregon as a music major.
Elenka Proulx, Member Records
Elenka Proulx joined the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir's staff in April 2009.
Susan Rahl, Tour Coordinator
Susan Rahl is co-founder of the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir (formerly the Piedmont Choir) and served as its Executive Director for seventeen years until her retirement in 1999. All three of her children were founding members of the Choir. She has organized and led over 40 tours in the last 25 years and continues to do so for Ensemble and Concert Choir.Toni Fischer, Bookkeeper
Toni is also Business & Finance Manager of Piedmont Community Church and her twelve-year-old son, Nathan, may soon become a member of the Choirs.
