Introducing "CHOIR TOUR" - a new DVD documentary extravaganza starring the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir's Ensemble!
“CHOIR TOUR: Two Choirs - Two Continents - One Heart” recounts the epic collaboration of two of the world’s most highly respected children’s choirs: the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir of California (USA) and Carmina Slovenica of Slovenia. Over the course of two weeks in July, and one week in October, 2007 these two groups of young people from different sides of the world broke musical and cultural boundaries in a life-changing encounter that each will never forget. CHOIR TOUR chronicles the preparation of “Project Attacca,” a landmark collaboration pushing the boundaries of children’s choral music, and illuminates the personal journeys of the participants as they embark on this one-of-a-kind musical adventure. This professionally-produced DVD includes the documentary feature, an epilogue, outtakes, and other extras. VIEW THE BRIEF PREVIEW USING OUR BUILT-IN FLASH PLAYER ABOVE! Touring is Our Middle Name
Annual performance tours, with appearances at national and international choir festivals and competitions, have been a hallmark of the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir experience since 1984. We fervently believe that music is the international language of peace and understanding, and seek to build bridges to other cultures by bringing our singers together with other young performers from around the globe in the pursuit of musical excellence. During their time with the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir, our singers form relationships with children from other local, national, and global communities, sharing the gift of music with each other and with audiences throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
