Piedmont Choirs Alumni Events 2011-2012
September 2, 2011: Members of the PEBCC will sing the National Anthem at the A's game on Friday September 2. It's an evening game with fireworks to kick off Labor Day weekend and we're hosting a tailgate party to celebrate! Alums are encouraged to join us! Email us to buy tickets or for more information!
October 7-9, 2011: Choir Alumna Liz Hale Love is hosting an alumni retreat at her family ranch in Battle Creek, CA. The 2,500 acre ranch sits on a beautiful mountain meadow at 5,000 feet elevation, is surrounded almost entirely by National Forest and is a 15 minute drive to Lassen National Park. Bob Geary will lead the group in rehearsing music by Poulenc, in preparation for the Alum Choir's performance in March 2012 – but there will also be plenty of time for R&R! Attendance at the retreat does not imply a commitment to performing at the March concert. Spouses and children encouraged! Attendees are asked to contribute toward the cost of food. December 28, 2011: Holiday potluck party and singalong led by Choir alum Eric Tuan; 7-9pm at the home of Lucy Swenson (PEBCC '09). Bring a dessert, savory snack, or beverage and enjoy the company and voices of your fellow choir alumni.
March 24, 2012: "Primarily Poulenc" concert with performances by the Alum Choir, Ecco, Ancora, Ensemble, and Concert Choir. Bob Geary will direct the alum choir in a performance of Poulenc. Rehearsals from 7-10pm on January 23, March 5, March 7, March 12, March 19. Dress rehearsal Friday March 23. RSVP to mgomez@piedmontchoirs.org by January 1st.
April 21, 2012: PEBCC annual gala will take place at Treasure Island. We had two tables of alumni last year and it was a lot of fun! We hope you'll save the date and come again this year. Check back in January for more information.
July 8-14, 2012: Golden Gate Festival – We invite all alums to join the PEBCC Festival Choir, which will be conducted by Clifton Massey. The choir will rehearse starting in June 2012 and leading up to festival in July. Participants will be eligible for full participation in the festival, will sing at the opening and closing concerts and at a community concert. Plan to join us! More information will be available shortly.
2012-13 is the Choir's 30th Anniversary year! We want alums to help us celebrate! Be sure to join our mailing list so you'll know what's coming.
