Virtual Concert Choir Camp Day Four
Virtual CC Camp day four was another success! Counselor Emily started the day out with some morning yoga, which in keeping with the theme of camp, included practicing our Voldemort and Pettigrew faces. Then campers showed off their space and Earth themed outfits. The spirit day creativity was admirable!! Owl claimed 1st in spirit judging, Fox took 2nd, and two campers from Bobcat earned some honorable mention points for their house.
In theory today, campers continued learning about intervals and scales= so exciting!! We love theory!! Warm ups were led by Theresa, followed by a tutti rehearsal and rehearsal rotations. Wow! Concert choir can sing so many scales! Harmonic minor, melodic minor, Mixolydian, Lydian… the list goes on…
In addition to voice lessons, campers joined back together for afternoon crafts and activities which included: Origami, Mafia, Encore, Madlibs, plus a new favorite, “scribbl”- an online pictionary game. A Harry Potter discussion room was also open for a bit- a room that will open up again tomorrow in honor of Harry Potter’s (and Rowling’s) birthday!!
Only two and a half days left… still many opportunities for campers to earn House Points! The race is close to see who will win the House Cup on Saturday.
