Day 1: Bon Voyage!

We gathered at SFO airport very early Thursday morning - thanks parents and families for making it happen! Concert Choir sang “Homeward Bound” to the parents before we made our way through security. At the gate, many singers played games of “Uno” (a choir tour tradition at this point) or started to read their books before we boarded the flight to Toronto.

After landing and making our way through customs, we met our courier Alexis, and bus driver Frank, who drove us to St. Catherine’s. Along the way, we saw the CN tower in the distance as we crossed over a bridge at the edge of Lake Ontario.

Dinner was at Johnny Rocco’s Italian grill - YUM. The singers and staff enjoyed a scrumptious family-style meal with multiple courses of food. Nora Farivar was excited to tell us she tried Calamari for the first time! Joshua , Mignon, and Ember were particularly appreciative of the kale salad. Other fan favorites were meatballs, creamy alfredo pasta, and of course, cannolis and strawberry cheesecake for dessert!

The singers are asleep, and we are looking forward to visiting Niagra Falls tomorrow!
