Day 6: Homeward Bound!

We woke up bright and early, excited (and sleepy) for the last day of tour! Breakfast was in the hotel— eggs, bacon, sausages, yogurt, and pastries. We soon boarded the bus for our ride back to Toronto. We arrived at the Royal Ontario Museum where CC performed an informal concert in the main atrium. The singers sang the “Dreams” trio, “Campfire Song”, and finished with a goosebumps-creating rendition of “No One Can Make it Out There Alone.” We’re so proud of our soloists— Joshua, Zuri, Emi, and Ember!

After lunch at the museum cafe, everyone got a chance to explore the museum galleries. Maddy got to pet a (dead) skunk in one of the exhibits! Other popular attractions were the dinosaur floor, and of course, the gift shop. Many singers are returning home with Canadian maple syrup in their checked luggage!

We boarded the bus for our final ride back to the Toronto airport, where we said goodbye to our wonderful courier, Alexis “the elder”, and bus driver Frank. Passing through security and clearing customs was smooth and efficient. Singers grabbed a quick to-go dinner in the airport before boarding the plane ride home.

We have just landed in SFO and everyone is safely on their way home. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making CC tour happen, and we hope you enjoyed following along our adventures on the blog!

(Pictures from yesterday and today will be up in a day or so, after everyone has gotten the chance to get a well-deserved night of sleep! And hopefully some photos from our Junior Amabile Singers Homestay families!)
