CAMP

A summer camp that focuses on music! How cool is that?

Our Summer Camps are required for students participating in our Performing Department programs and highly recommended for students in the Training Department.

Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir Camp fosters lifelong friendships that begin with the love of singing. Give your child a chance to strengthen old friendships and begin new ones while hiking, swimming, crafting, and living through music. Our regular summer sleep-away music camps are held at the beautiful Walker Creek Ranch in Marin County, a 1700-acre site that includes forest, chaparral, grassland, 20 miles of hiking trails, and a great 4-acre swimming hole! The choral tradition is not relegated to a classroom or concert hall. Kids are encouraged to sing at the lake, on hikes, and around the campfire.

This summer, we will offer our 12-day camp, required for members of Concert Choir and Ensemble, as well as Camp Joyful voices, a 5-day sleep-away camp meant for singers aged 7 to 10. Led by our faculty member Anne Daniel and staffed by our wonderful team of counselors and CITs, Camp Joyful Voices is a wonderful opportunity for youngsters to make friends, grow their independence and deepen their musical skills.

TOURS

International Competition and Touring is the centerpiece of the Choir program. Decades of experience have shown that choir tours provide an unparalleled opportunity for young students to broaden their understanding of the people and cultures of the world and, in the process, they strengthen their relationships and learn about themselves. Since 1982, our choirs have toured and performed in 13 states and 26 foreign countries, participated in nineteen choral competitions in Europe, Asia, and North America and brought home twenty-five awards, including numerous Gold Medals, First Prizes,  and Grand Prizes.

Touring Costs can be found in the Performing Department Fee Schedule
