Keri Butkevich

Recognized as a creative driver of transformative change in arts education, Keri has served music education organizations in the Executive Director role since 2008. She holds a Master’s degree in Voice from San Jose State University, a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Acting Specialist Certificate from University of Wisconsin, Madison, a CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) credential, and has held K-12 music teaching credentials in WI and IL. Over 30+ years as an arts educator, she has taught with the Chicago Children’s Choir, Chicago Opera Theater, Merit School of Music, DePaul University’s Community Music Division, Community School of Music and Art, Young Audiences of Northern California, Cantabile Youth Singers, and Music in Schools Today, before transitioning to arts administration as the Program Director for the Dominican Schools Music Project in 2007. Her executive leadership with ETM-Bay Area and the Oakland Youth Chorus brought inclusive music programming to 50 Bay Area schools serving 20,000 children and youth.

Keri has presented sessions for Chorus America, CMEA Bay Section and CASMEC state conferences, graduated from the CEN Leader’s Institute, and served as Board Treasurer of the Northern California Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association. She is a proud member of the Board of Directors for Oakland Rotary #3 and the Oakland Unified Arts partners.
