Virtual Ensemble Camp Closing Circle
What a wonderful end to our virtual camp!
We started by singing a call and response camp song called Princess Pat with Tate, and then we showed off our matching choir camp t-shirts for our final spirit day (Choir Nerd Day)!
Tim Silva, one of the voice teachers, led warmups today. He had us dancing and vocalizing to a drone as a warm up for our final day of camp.
After warm ups, Eric announced who was elected to this year’s leadership team: Congrats to Ermie, Clare, Kailamae, Kiera and Karina! I am sure their leadership will help pave the way in this unusual choir year ahead. We are also pleased to announce that House Fox has won the House Cup with 445 points! Singers should receive an email with their mysterious prize.
After a short rehearsal of Ka Wai 'Apo Lani with Eric, we had the pleasure of hearing from some of our singers what they have been working on in their daily voice lessons. Check out this video of our talented singers performing in recital:

We then held a heartfelt closing circle, and got to hear from everyone at camp what they enjoyed about camp, and what they are looking forward to this year. There were smiles, laughs, tears, and dedications to voice staff, theory teachers, mentors and mentees, as well as sections. Thank you to our incredible Ensemble community for an incredibly fun, if a bit unorthodox, time at camp! Let’s do it again next year :)
