COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT) PROGRAM

For Fall 2026 Ecco & Ancora singers: Ages 15 - 18

Develop leadership skills and build self-confidence while making meaningful connections with your peers and younger campers!

Our CIT program bridges the Ensemble camper experience with our adult Summer Counselor staff, providing rising Ecco and Ancora students with an opportunity to spend the summer at our beloved Choir Camp while mentoring our “Joyful Voices” campers and making music. As a CIT, you will help supervise and support campers age 7 - 11 while shadowing a skilled camp counselor, learning first-hand how a camp works behind the scenes. CITS walk away from this summer camp with strong project management skills, CPR & First Aid Certification, and the necessary skills & confidence to become a future teaching assistant, Camp Counselor, Tour Chaperone and more.

CITs will depart for camp by bus with their assigned campers, and will need to be picked up from Walker Creek Ranch following the conclusion of their camp session.

Camp Dates: 

Monday, July 27 - Saturday, August 1st

In-person Attendance at Pre-camp Training Sessions 

  • Wednesday, July 22 & Thursday, July 23,  10am - 4pm at the Choir Office (3629 Grand Ave)

  • Complete all required pre-camp training materials

  • Optional: We may also have mini skill-building workshops for CITs, held at mutually agreed times leading up to camp.
