This spring, join us in making history! Our advanced Performing Department ensembles amplify living composers’ voices alongside their own, weaving powerful stories of justice, resilience, and community. The program features Eric Tuan’s new work We Belong, which explores the story of San Francisco civil rights pioneer Wong Kim Ark; the world premiere of At Paddington Station by Bay Area composer Malcolm Xiellie; Eric Tuan’s reflection on the legacy of the atomic bomb, Nagasaki; and works by Ko Matsushita, Veljo Tormis, Shawn Okbepholo, and Meredith Monk.
