The Festival begins with energy, anticipation, and celebration as all 14 Golden Gate Festival 2026 choirs take the stage for the Opening Sing-Off Concert. This memorable kick-off event offers audiences their first opportunity to experience the extraordinary artistry, cultural traditions, and musical identities represented at this year’s Festival.
The evening includes a vibrant Parade of Nations featuring more than 400 singers, followed by preview performances from each ensemble. Choirs from the Philippines, Georgia, Austria, Catalonia, Poland, Finland, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and the United States will share a glimpse of their repertoire, setting the tone for a week of camaraderie and friendly competition.
