PreKC: Virtual Lesson and rehearsal 4/1

Hello Kinder Department families,

I hope you and yours are well. I sure do miss singing with your kids.

In an effort to offer interactive sessions with your singers, this week we will start hybrid classes by adding to our current distance learning lessons an opportunity to meet virtually through Zoom. The live-streamed rehearsal segment will give us a chance to see each other's faces while we continue in our theory instruction and have fun singing through some of our songs.

As I have been doing for the past two weeks, I will continue to provide your singer links to video and audio resources, movement activities, theory sheets, and coloring pages which can be spread out and repeated throughout the week as desired. My hope is that some things in these lessons may work as independent activities for the kids (so you grown-ups can get some of your work done, too). The goal of these packets is interaction with our music and theory concepts; you should feel free to work with your child or not depending on what's best for your child and for you. I will start including an answer key link for those interested in evaluating—or having your singer evaluate—his or her understanding in real time.
